They include sample letters for identification, numbered stroke sequence and arrows showing proper stroke direction. Ruled lines illustrate correct letter proportion, spacing and placement. A sample word is included, showing how letters can be combined to make words.
Manuscript templates are appropriate for children ages 4 to 7 years old. Transitional templates assist children in moving from manuscript to cursive handwriting. The recommended age level for our Transitional Handwriting Guide is 4 to 9 years. Cursive templates are designed for advanced handwriting instruction, generally ages 9 to 12. The Cursive Instruction Guides add stroke lead-ins and scroll features to the changed shape of the letter.
